In the run-up to the FIFA World Cup Poland’s national Football Association (PZPN) has concluded a startup competition meant to bring to the fore innovative tech projects with the most potential for the world of soccer. We were there to provide Proof of Achievement collectibles to participating teams and the winning startups!
Collectico provided five levels of collectible NFTs, to reflect both the programme’s competitive slant and its broader community engagement. Three of those signified the participating teams’ progress from applicant to competitor and, ultimately, winner. Two additional NFTs were created for Demo Day participants and members of the broader “Supporters’ Club.”
Football’s most important competition is just around the corner and three startup teams will be flying to Qatar to present their ideas. Selected from several dozen applicants from Poland the the larger region, the teams at Higgsone, Q-LAC, and ReSpo.Vision will have an opportunity to present their work to the world’s football leaders, clubs, media and – importantly – investors. We can’t wait to hear about their successes!
The startup competition was the brainchild of PZPN Invest, the Association’s investment arm, and we are already hearing that another edition of the programme is in the works. Here’s hoping they won’t wait till the next World Cup to get that one underway! 😀
